Hydrogen Powered Cars Or Vehicles Using Water As Fuel
Hydrogen powered cars or vehicles
might just seem like someone's inventive fantasy, but they're not. In fact, it has been around as an idea for many years. Today,
hydrogen powered cars or vehicles
actually do exist on the road, although they're not used as mainstream vehicles just yet. There are approximately 200 different prototypes of hydrogen-powered cars being used today.
What's so special about the hydrogen powered car? It basically uses
water as fuel
and it emits water vapor as its "exhaust," which makes it a much more environmentally friendly fuel than fossil fuels.
There are basically two different types of hydrogen-powered cars or vehicles available. The first,
fuel-cell vehicles,
work by making hydrogen react with water to produce electricity. The second, combustion hydrogen vehicles, work basically like today's gasoline combustion motors. Instead, though, hydrogen instead of gasoline is used as fuel. With a fuel cell vehicle, hydrogen reacts with oxygen, and produces water and electricity. This electricity then powers the motor, similar to what is on the current hybrid gasoline/electric vehicle. This in fact is what most automakers are now producing for the market with hydrogen-powered vehicles, too.
However, you don't have to wait for automobile manufacturers to come out with hydrogen/gas hybrid vehicles. You can utilize
this technology
today; there are conversions kits now on the market that will let you turn your car into a "hybrid" vehicle that utilizes your current gasoline engine but gives you much better gas mileage by using water fuel along with your gasoline. How does it do this? It converts water into a gas known as HHO, or two parts hydrogen, one part oxygen. This is also known as "brown gas." This HHO gas provides fuel for your car that is clean burning and nonpolluting. It also helps reduce wear and tear on your car's engine.
These "water fuel conversion kits" can be installed in your car today. It works in similar fashion to the current popular electric/gas hybrid engine in cars such as the Prius. Like the electric/gas hybrids, you'll approximately double your gasoline mileage by supplementing it with water fuel.
Similarly, you cut your emissions as well. Therefore, you also have the advantage of utilizing environmentally friendly technology in addition to getting better gas mileage.
So if you're interested in converting your car into hydrogen powered cars or vehicles, you can do so today even before automakers jump on board by putting mainstream hydrogen engines in cars. And lest you fear that hydrogen explosions pose a danger (hydrogen is a volatile gas), this also is not true.
Hydrogen is generally only a danger when it is stored for long periods of time. Since the hydrogen is produced immediately before it is burned, explosions are not to be feared.
Other benefits of converting your car to run on water:
- Savings in gas and fuel costs
- Reduce carbon emission
- Reduce your engine temperature
- In some cases, get better engine performance
- More Miles per Gallon (MPG)
- Less pollution and a better environment for your family
- IRS refunds for running a “greener” vehicle
- None of this voids your car warranty
